Since the law and order situation in the country has improved lately, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been taking baby steps to gradually revive international cricket in Pakistan.

The recent tours from World XI, Pakistan Super League (PSL) final and West Indies have proved to be a success for revival of cricket in the country. The cricket regulatory authority in the country is now planning to bring in the big fishes of the game.

As we all know, PCB had requested Cricket New Zealand and Cricket Australia to send their teams to Pakistan for at least one Twenty 20 International. Australia, however, had refused the proposal immediately while Kiwis are yet to answer.

In recent development, during Lord’s Test the PCB chairman Najam Sethi met British Prime Minister (PM) Theresa and informed her about the improving law and order situation in Pakistan.

Speaking to Geo News, Sethi said “I told [her] that Pakistan awaits a visit by the England team [and that] we need your help … I reminded the British PM that Pakistan Army had done a great job in ending terrorism and made big sacrifices.

"As a result, the conditions at our home are better. Hence, we are inviting foreigners to come and visit us. We have made Pakistan safe,” he added. With improving security in the county, the international cricket may soon fully revive in Pakistan.
