LONDON: European stock markets held steady in opening deals on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index slipping just 0.02 percent to 5,694.59 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 eased 0.23 percent to 6,148.45 points and in Paris the CAC 40 shed 0.21 percent to 3,204.00 points.
