Pakistan Test debutants, all rounder Faheem Ashraf and top order batsman Imam ul Haq, made impressive gains as they entered into International Cricket Council Test Player Rankings.

“As for Pakistan’s debutants Faheem and Imam entered the rankings at 81st and 113th positions, respectively, in the list for batsmen. Faheem scored 83 in the first innings at Malahide while Imam had scores of seven and 74 not out,” stated ICC.

Meanwhile, in the bowling department, fast bowler Mohammad Abbas reached to career best 29th position in Test cricket with 539 points, whereas, speedster Mohammad Amir too jumped two slots.

“Pace bowlers Abbas and Amir have moved up the ladder with Abbas gaining eight slots to reach a career-best 29th position and Amir advancing two places to 37th position. Abbas finished with nine for 110 in the match while Amir took five for 72.”

For Pakistan, the teams stay on seventh position, but have gained one point after victory in the one-off Test against Ireland and have now accumulated 87 points.
