Former Pakistan captain and legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram was not impressed when Pakistan came on to bat against Ireland in the historic Test match without their traditional green stripe from the sweater.
Akram was quick to notice the oddity in the uniform and expressed his resentment on social media. “Where is the green stripe gone from our sweater? Not cool,” Akram said on social media.

A day later, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) came out thanking the legendary bowler and said they will look into the matter 'seriously'. The board wrote in response, “Thank you Wasim Akram for pointing this out. We are going to seriously inquire into the matter.”

Akram has then stated that he is ‘all for modernising our uniform’ but was one of the view that one should inform them before making any changes.
Since tweeting this yesterday there has been a lot of enquiry in to where our green stripe has gone. I wanted to add that I’m all for modernising our uniform and I’m not blaming anyone for the change but many of us have played proudly with this kit, next time keep us in the loop! https://t.co/1nszH0yL8t

Meanwhile, Pakistan is currently in the midst of a historic Test against Ireland. After a frustrating rain-delay that washed out the opening day's play, Pakistan looks to seal the day with two days remaining.
