Fire at production unit of Waves factory

LAHORE: A fire broke out at the production unit of Wa ves Factory, which manufactures electronics products at Multan Road, here on Friday.

On getting information, about 27 vehicles of Rescue 1122, WASA and other rescue teams reached the spot and started an operation. The rescuers succeeded in taking out the staff from the factory safely. Some vehicles parked in the factory area were also damaged.

The rescuers were trying to take out gas cylinders, thermopile, chemical, paint and other items from the factory.

Cause of the fire was stated to be short-circuiting. No loss of life was reported.

Rescuers were making hectic efforts to extinguish fire till filing of the report.
