Bench hearing Talal Chaudhry's contempt case dissolved

The bench hearing the contempt of court case against Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry was dissolved on Monday.

The three-member bench was dissolved as Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan retired today, local media reported. The hearing has been adjourned for an indefinite period and will be resumed after a new bench is formed.

While speaking to the media today, Chaudhry said that 'test tube babies and artificial leaders' like Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan should never be born.

Chaudhry was indicted on March 15 in contempt of court case by the Supreme Court. Chaudhry had however, denied contempt charges and pleaded not guilty.

On February 2, the SC issued a notice to Chaudhry for delivering disrespectful remarks against the judiciary and summoned him to court. However, Chaudhry denied and said, “I neither made person specific discussion nor criticized the judges during public meeting or media talks.”
