Sehwan Sharif: heatstroke claims 4 lives

ISLAMABAD: In Sehwan Sharif four elderly devotees of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalander have died from heatstroke as the mercury shot to 50 degree Celsius.

According to Radio Pakistan, at least twelve other devotees are hospitalized and being treated for heatstroke at Syed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical Sciences Sehwan.

Thousands of devotees have converged to participate in the three-day 766th annual Urs celebrations of the Sufi saint Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalander which commenced Saturday.
