Khawaja Asif to challenge IHC verdict in SC

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif Thursday said he would challenge the Islamabad High Court's (IHC) verdict regarding his disqualification in the Supreme Court.
Talking to a private news channel, he said it was his constitutional right to challenge the high court's decision and hoped that he would get justice from the apex court.
Khawaja Asif said he had never concealed his assets or income and always paid income tax on his national or foreign income.
To a question, he said he had not been disqualified by the people's court. If the SC upheld the IHC decision, then any worker of Nawaz Sharif would contest the general election 2018 from his constituency and win with a thumping majority.
He said he had faced investigation during the era of Pervez Musharraf.
