ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday rebutted news items aired by a section of media that Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar's convoy traveling to Balakot has met an accident.
"Different squads at different places had joined CJP's convey while going to Balakot however CJP showing displeasure over it returned them," Spokesperson of the SC said.
It is pertinent to mention here that CJP was on a visit to Balakot to review uplift work and to hear the first-hand account of the deadly 2005 earthquake victims.
Chief Justice suddenly planned the visit while hearing a suo moto case pertaining to alleged embezzlement of funds allocated for the earthquake victims of Balakot and Mansehra.
The CJP would himself investigate the alleged embezzlement of $5billion financial assistance, extended by the international community for the rehabilitation.
