KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where two ships carrying cement and chemical were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Monday, January 2.
Meanwhile five ships carrying containers, chemical and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 20 percent at the Port on Tuesday where total number of three ships namely MV. Hiba Al Nour-B, Perla Bulker and MV. James Park are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, canola seeds and chemical respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 17,194 tonnes comprising 16,418 tonnes imports and 776 tonnes exports was handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
Chemical ship MV. James Park will sail today at 15:00 p.m.
