KSE-100 index witnesses bearish trend, declines by 151 points

KARACHI: Karachi share market witnessed negative trend on the first day of new year. After negative opening, the KSE-100 index declined by 151 points to 11,196 level.

Investors’ participation remained extremely low as daily trading volume stood at record low level of only 90 million shares.

Fauji Fertiliser Bin Qasim was the volume leaders with 1.149 million shares, however lost Rs 1.23 to Rs 41.20 followed by NIB Bank that declined by Rs 0.09 to Rs 1.64 with 0.751 million shares.
