ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday sought reply from Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) in a case related to non-issuance of salary to a test cricketer Rao Iftikhar Anjum.
Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiyani of IHC heard the case filed by cricketer Rao Iftikhar Anjum, who was also an employee ZTBL.
The counsel for the petitioner Arbab Aurengzaib Advocate stated that his client was given job by the ZTBL as a sportsman. He contended that Rao Iftikhar had been part of national test cricket team and played international matches.
He stated that the ZTBL had stopped the issuance of salary to his client and prayed the court to issue directives to the bank for release of his client's salary. After haring the arguments, the court sought reply from the ZTBL president and adjourned the hearing of the case till next month.
