Rs10bn funds released for Nawaz Cancer Hospital

LAHORE: Punjab Finance Department has released Rs10 billion for Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital to provide free treatment to cancer patients.

The funds have been allocated from the budget to facilitate free medical treatment for cancer patients at the hospital.

As per sources, the Finance Department has also released Rs243 million for the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore and Rs457 million for municipal corporations. Furthermore, Rs1.6 billion has been released for municipal committees across the province. The funds allocated to local government institutions will be used to meet operational expenses and pay salaries.
