LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Ali Hussam Asghar has assured the industrial community of all-out efforts to address its issues through close coordination with relevant government institutions.
He was speaking during a meeting with a delegation from the Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate, which visited the LCCI and congratulated the newly-elected office-bearers—President Ali Hussam Asghar, Senior Vice President Sardar Usman Ghani and Vice President Khadim Hussain Chaudhry.
LCCI president said the LCCI would extend full support to the Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate and other industrial clusters, stressing that regular consultation was essential for resolving issues affecting industrial activity.
He said industry was the backbone of economic growth and vital for boosting production, employment, exports and investment. He called for efficient infrastructure, reliable utilities, streamlined regulations and a predictable policy environment to facilitate investment and business expansion.
Senior Vice President Sardar Usman Ghani said the LCCI would remain fully engaged with industrial stakeholders and provide every possible support for strengthening the industrial base.
Vice President Khadim Hussain Chaudhry said business facilitation and problem-solving would remain among the LCCI’s top priorities.
The LCCI leadership also stressed the need to promote value-added production, improve quality standards, adopt modern technology and strengthen Pakistan’s presence in international markets.
Former LCCI presidents Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman, Irfan Iqbal Sheikh and Noman Kabir, former senior vice presidents, vice presidents and members of the LCCI Executive Committee also attended the meeting.
The delegation appreciated the assurances of the new LCCI leadership and reaffirmed its cooperation for promoting industrial activity, investment and employment.
