Sazgar to introduce BAIC’s ARCFOX EVs in Pakistan

Sazgar Engineering Works Limited plans to introduce China’s BAIC Group’s premium electric vehicle brand ARCFOX in Pakistan, as the automaker expands its EV portfolio.
The listed company disclosed the development in its filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday.
“We are pleased to inform you that Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (“the Company”) intends to introduce ARCFOX New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in Pakistan, further expanding its New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolio,” the company said in a notice.
“ARCFOX is BAIC Group’s high-end intelligent electric vehicle brand; it brings together premium design and advanced technology, with engineering and technology collaborations involving Magna and Huawei,” it added.
Sazgar Engineering Works Limited
Sazgar Engineering Works Limited was incorporated in Pakistan as a private limited company in 1991 and became a public limited company in 1994. The company’s primary business is the manufacturing and sale of automobiles, automotive parts and accessories, and household electronic appliances[6]. Its manufacturing plants are situated in Lahore.
Sazgar’s product portfolio includes auto rickshaws, tractor wheel rims, and home appliances. More recently, the company expanded significantly by entering the four-wheeler segment, launching SUVs.
In 2022, the company introduced a four-wheeler under the “BAIC” brand.
By 2023, it had started production of SUV vehicles and introduced hybrid electric vehicles in the local market under the “HAVAL” brand.
The company launched its first locally-assembled hybrid electric vehicle.
SAZEW successfully launched its CKD Plug-In-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) HAVAL H6 1.5L on August 16, 2025.
