Samba Bank apppoints Fahad Ali Al Hunaiti as chairman

Samba Bank Limited (SBL) appointed on Thursday Fahad Ali Al Hunaiti, Non-Executive Director, as Chairman of its Board of Directors.

The listed bank shared the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) today.

The appointment comes after Mustafa Ilyas, Non-Executive Director & Chairman of the bank, resigned from the office of the Board of Directors with effect from August 16, 2026.

Al Hunaiti is a seasoned financial executive with 17 years of experience in banking and investment management. He currently serves as Head of Principal Strategies at Saudi National Bank, where he oversees SR 260 billion in proprietary investments across global asset classes.

Al Hunaiti holds a finance degree from KFUPM and has completed executive education at Wharton and Columbia Business Schools.
