LAHORE: The registration process for the online auction of premium vehicle registration numbers for the month of August has officially commenced through the e-Auction smartphone app and web portal.
According to PITB on Thursday, interested persons can conveniently register online from the comfort of their homes until August 30 to participate in the auction and bid for their preferred vehicle registration numbers. The e-Auction platform, developed by PITB in collaboration with the Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, facilitates the auction of registration numbers for motorcycles, motor cars, and commercial vehicles, while details of successful bidders are also made available through the application, ensuring complete transparency throughout the process.
In this regard, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf stated, “The e-Auction platform leverages modern digital technology to provide citizens with a seamless, secure, and transparent mechanism for participating in the auction of their preferred vehicle registration numbers.”
He further said by digitising the auction process, the platform enhances efficiency, accelerates service delivery, and strengthens transparency while promoting citizen convenience and good governance. “It reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to expanding digital public services and delivering innovative, technology-driven solutions that improve the overall citizen experience,” he added.
