LAHORE: Acting President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, accompanied by his family, paid a special visit to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, where he was warmly received by Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora.
During the visit, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora and the Head Granthi presented the Acting President with Saropa and a ceremonial Sri Sahib (Sword) as a gesture of respect.
Chaudhry Latif Akbar termed the Kartarpur Corridor a shining example of interfaith harmony, religious tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, stating that Pakistan has conveyed a positive message to the world regarding religious freedom and respect for minority communities.
Accompanied by Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, the Acting President also visited the Sikh Art Gallery and the Zero Line. He appreciated the excellent arrangements and hospitality extended by the Kartarpur administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur has emerged as a global symbol of peace, love, brotherhood, and religious harmony, offering world-class facilities to pilgrims visiting from across the globe.
Chaudhry Latif Akbar remarked that followers of all faiths are treated with dignity and respect at Kartarpur and that the corridor continues to play a significant role in promoting interfaith understanding and harmony.
