HUM Network Limited announced on Thursday the resignation of Sultana Siddiqui from the post of President of the company.
The company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in a notice today.
The network added that the Board of Directors had appointed Sultana as the Chairperson of the Board with immediate effect to fill the vacant position of chairman created upon the sad demise of the late Mazhar-ul-Haq Siddiqui.
Sultana started her career as a producer for PTV, Karachi Studios in 1974 and founded HUM Network (awarded as one of the top 25 Companies by Pakistan Stock Exchange in 2009 and 2020) in 2005.
Since then, she has been credited as the first woman of South Asia to establish a Television Network and is the recipient of many National and International Awards. Under her supervision, HUM TV’s Serials received numerous awards for Dramas by Pakistan’s prestigious Lux Awards, four years in a row.
