Sri Lankan shares mark their best day in nearly a year on broad gains

Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Tuesday, led by broad gains across sectors.
The CSE All-Share index rose nearly 3.5% to 21,071.23, marking its biggest single-day percentage jump since April 2025. On Monday, the index had dropped 1.3%.
Conglomerate Kerner Haus Global Solutions Plc and Renuka Foods Plc were the biggest gainers on the CSE All-Share index, rising 24.9% and 20.9%, respectively.
Trading volume doubled to 193.4 million shares, compared to the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover rose to 4.22 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($13.4 million), compared with 2.37 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers of shares worth 662 million rupees in the equity market, while domestic investors were net buyers of shares worth 4.17 billion rupees, data showed.
