ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday to discuss the rapidly escalating crisis in the Middle East, following Israel’s attack on Iran and a series of retaliatory assaults on other Gulf nations by Iran.

During the call, Prime Minister Sharif expressed grave concern over the Israeli actions, which have heightened regional tensions.

He also condemned the subsequent attacks on Gulf countries, reaffirming Pakistan’s strong solidarity with its regional partners.

“Pakistan stands firmly with the Gulf nations in these challenging times,” he stated, stressing the need for restraint from all parties involved to prevent further violence.

Sharif briefed Erdogan on his recent diplomatic outreach to Gulf leaders, underscoring Pakistan’s willingness to mediate in the crisis and work towards a peaceful resolution.
