ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the availability and prices of essential commodities across the country.
An official statement said that Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction over ample stock of key essential commodities across provinces, directing federal and provincial authorities to continue close monitoring, particularly in view of the approaching month of Ramazan, to prevent any artificial price hike or exploitation of consumers by unscrupulous elements.
The meeting was attended by Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Chairman TDAP, and officials from the Federal Board of Revenue, Ministries of National Food Security and Commerce, and provincial food department representatives.
