KARACHI: Visa and easypaisa Digital Bank have signed a strategic agreement to strengthen their collaboration with a focused objective of expanding card-based digital transactions across Pakistan and international.

The agreement formalizes the partnership between Visa and easypaisa Digital Bank, reflecting a shared commitment to increasing the issuance and usage of Visa-branded debit and credit cards. The collaboration aims to enable secure, seamless, and reliable card transactions across both physical and digital merchant channels.

As part of this collaboration, easypaisa Digital Bank plans to enhance the overall cardholder experience through the launch of premium debit card, credit card and cross border initiatives, while promoting increased usage of cards for international transactions across all channels, including POS, e-commerce, and ATM. The partnership also includes joint initiatives in marketing, customer activation, merchant enablement, training, and technology enhancements.

Commenting on the collaboration, Jahanzeb Khan, President & CEO, easypaisa digital bank, said that this partnership with Visa allows us to leverage its global payment network, advanced transaction processing capabilities, and robust security standards to deliver seamless and secure payment experiences, drive greater card usage, unities for all and make cashless Pakistan a reality.

Umar S. Through this agreement, both organizations reaffirm their commitment to supporting Pakistan’s evolving digital payments ecosystem, advancing financial inclusion, and contributing to the development of a secure, scalable, and cash-lite economy.
