FAISALABAD: Speakers while addressing a seminar on “drug-free Pakistan” organized by the Department of Rural Sociology, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) said a safe and sustainable society can be ensured by rooting out the menace of drugs.).
Renowned Psychiatrist Dr Imtiaz Dogar emphasised that the curse of narcotics must be eliminated through joint efforts. He noted that drug abuse not only destroys a person’s life but also tarnishes their reputation and family honor.
Chairperson Sociology Dr Sadaf Mehmood stated that we must ensure proper treatment facilities for drug addicts so they can come out of the curse and become responsible citizens of society. Assistant Director, ANF Muhammad Nawaz remarked that they were taking all possible measures to eliminate drugs from society.
