Gold price gains Rs2,700 per tola in Pakistan
- International rate of gold reaches $4,245 per ounce
Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Monday in line with their gain in the international market. In the local market, gold price per tola reached Rs446,862 after an increase of Rs2,700 during the day.
Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs383,112 after it accumulated Rs2,315, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold price per tola reached Rs444,162 after an increase of Rs5,300 during the day.
The international rate of gold increased by $27 to reach $4,245 per ounce (with a premium of $20).
Meanwhile, the price of silver also jumped by Rs54 to reach Rs5,963 per tola.
Moreover, international gold prices were mostly steady after hitting a six-week high on Monday as early risk-off sentiment set the tone, with investors focused on a potential US rate cut later this month, while silver touched a record high.
Spot gold was down 0.1% to $4,225.91 per ounce as of 0534 GMT after touching its highest since October 21.
US gold futures for December delivery gained 0.1% to $4,260.20.
Silver jumped 0.7% to $56.78 per ounce after earlier hitting an all-time high of $57.86.
