Punjab CM says prices of wheat, flour, bread contained successfully

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that inflation has come down from 40 percent to 4 percent, alhamdulillah, the price of bread and wheat has been controlled proportionately.

While addressing the PML-N’s newly-elected assembly members, here Wednesday, she that politics of narrative has been exhausted, as people have come to know the difference between real and sham politics. “We thank Allah Almighty for Pakistan Muslim League-N’s victory in the recent by-polls, I congratulate senior party members and the entire PML-N on success in the by-elections. I thank Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who himself came to meet the newly-elected assembly members of Pakistan Muslim League-N who ran their election campaigns very well,” she said. She highlighted when she went to launch the Green Bus Project in Mianwali, she came to know that real change has come. She noted that going in the people reveals whether they like it or not.

She underscored that Allah Almighty has also blessed us victory in Haripur, besides all constituencies of Punjab. She said, “We had a government in Punjab, but we did defeat the opposing ruling party in Haripur too. She added that despite the incumbency factor, PML-N won the by-elections.

In Daska, the staff and officers disappeared during the election, we were defeated, then we arrived and snatched election from them. Therefore, despite difficulties, there is no option to stay away from the political process, as we took part in the political process by making people our strength, she added.

The Chief Minister said that those who slandered hereditary politics fielded their wives and relatives in the elections. They ran campaigns everywhere in the by-elections, put up pictures of their leaders, but even then showed the hypocrisy of boycotting. She added that on the day of election, their camps were empty, when they lost, they said that we had no candidate.

Now the people come to their meetings and are not deceived, they have come to know the difference between real and sham politics. Their narrative of thieves, robbers, and catch them by the collar has had deep negative effects on the society, she said. By the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty, the narrative of fights, misbehaviour and bad culture has ended.

She highlighted that even if you boycott, no one can stop the real power of people. “The last four years of power will be written as the worst period in history. The politics of rudeness, abusive language, and raising voices against women started in the previous era,” she said, adding, “The PML-N has transformed the culture of rudeness and abusive language into development and service.

The ruler should think of ease in the lives of people instead of politics of revenge, as the politics of service cannot be easily erased. In the last forty years, no such leader or politician has come who was made Prime Minister of Pakistan three times by Allah Almighty.

The elected Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, was taken out three times by hatching conspiracies. Everyone conspired against Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, but he is the first leader of Pakistan in forty years whose government is still in power today.” She said, “Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also endured exile from the country for eleven years. Even today, the federal government and provincial government of Punjab are in full swing. Those who have been shouting slogans for the end of Nawaz Sharif’s politics for forty years are themselves going to the dustbin of history.

Nawaz Sharif has never blessed any daughter or any opponent with a revolution of thieves and robbers. All the development works that are being launched are being done on the advice of Nawaz Sharif, who has talked about serving the people, controlling bread price and inflation every day.

She said, “We have never been taught to abuse or have a dirty politics in our inheritance. We have been taught to serve and launch development projects for the people in our inheritance. During Nawaz Sharif’s rule, the country was at the highest level of development. There was talk of Pakistan’s default in the last four years of the government.”

She said, “Today, Pakistan has not only come out of default but is moving forward every day. Big hospitals are being built in Punjab and people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also coming for treatment. People coming from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa see the development of Punjab. Bread is cheaper in Punjab, medical facilities and transport and other projects are open for the people of KP.”

She said that it is not an easy task to remove Pakistan Muslim League (N) from the hearts of people, it is the only party that has shown its work. “Pakistan Muslim League (N) is both the present and the future of Pakistan. I request the assembly members to establish a record of serving the people from the first day, and work so hard that everyone stand by you,” she said.
