FAISALABAD: A horrific explosion in a glue factory due to gas leakage in Malikpur area of Faisalabad has killed 21 people, injured many others and destroyed many buildings and houses.

The death toll is expected to rise.

According to details, on the morning of Friday, November 21, 2025, an explosion occurred due to gas leakage in a glue manufacturing factory located in the Malikpur area. As a result of the horrific explosion, a fire broke out in the chemicals in the factory, and the fire quickly spread to the surrounding factories and workshops. The explosion was so powerful that many surrounding buildings and houses were badly damaged.

As soon as the information was received, rescue teams reached the spot in time and started relief activities. The Urban Search and Rescue teams of the rescue took swift action with the help of modern machinery and equipment and pulled the victims out from under the rubble, of whom 17 people died on the spot and several were injured.

The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital. Search and rescue operation is underway while more than 20 ambulances and fire vehicles of the rescue are engaged in rescue activities. While the fire has been brought under control and people have been rescued from under the debris, further search operation is underway.
