ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday met Chinese Ambassador Jian Zedong and agreed to further strengthen Pakistan-China cooperation in counterterrorism and security.
According to an official statement, the two dignitaries discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. Minister Naqvi said Pakistan and China share ties rooted in mutual trust and respect, adding that China has always stood by Pakistan in challenging times.
During the meeting, Ambassador Jian Zedong condemned the suicide attack near the Islamabad district courts and expressed his condolences over the tragic loss of human lives. The Ambassador said that the spokesperson of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had also condemned this unfortunate incident. The Chinese Ambassador said that China will continue to extend full cooperation to Pakistan.
