Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC): Message from Ishaq Dar Deputy, Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of Pakistan

It is a privilege to extend a warm welcome and felicitations to all distinguished delegates participating in the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) 2025, being hosted by the Senate of Pakistan in Islamabad under the worthy stewardship of Chairman Senate of Pakistan and Founding Chairman of ISC, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani.

This important gathering reflects Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to advancing parliamentary diplomacy as a vital means to fostering dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among nations. In an increasingly interconnected world, parliaments must not only safeguard democratic values but also serve as platforms for promoting mutual trust and shared progress.

Equally significant are the diplomatic and economic dimensions of our collective engagement. Through inter-parliamentary collaboration, we can shape policies that promote regional connectivity, multilateral cooperation, sustainable growth, and inclusive development. Together, economic stability and legislative foresight lay the foundation for peace and prosperity.

I commend Hon’ble Chairman Senate and the esteemed House of the Federation for organizing this distinguished forum and for reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening inter-parliamentary partnerships in pursuit of collective progress.
