ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is on Twitter now, his daughter Maryam Nawaz announced Saturday.
"Happy & privileged to announce that in order to stay connected to the people of Pakistan, MNS has decided to join Twitter. His Twitter handle is @NawazSharifMNS
TwitterWelcomesNawazSharif," Maryam, who is also the Vice President of PML-N, tweeted.
Till the filing of this report Saturday night, Nawaz Sharif's twitter account had more than 21,000 followers with no one being followed by him.
His maiden tweet in Urdu read, " vote ko izzat do (give respect to ballot)," the PML-N's slogan in 2018 general elections.
Sharif is expected to address via video link from London the All Parties Conference (APC) organised by Pakistan People's Party on Sunday.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Saturday contacted Sharif and invited him to 'virtually attend' the APC.
