ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday invited Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to virtually attend the opposition's All Parties Conference (APC) scheduled to take place on September 20th.

Bilawal in his tweet announced that he had inquired after Mian Nawaz Sharif's health and invited him to attend the conference, which would be hosted by the PPP. Bilawal tweeted, "Just spoke to Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif. Enquired about his health. Also invited him to virtually attend opposition APC, hosted by PPP, on 20th September."

Opposition parties including the PPP, the PML-N and the JUI-F have said that they will use the platform to try to come up with a joint strategy focused on ousting the incumbent government. According to the sources, the opposition parties had decided to hold an APC at the Zardari House in Islamabad on September 20th.

They said that the decision was taken after a Rahbar Committee meeting comprising leaders from all opposition parties, who decided that it was time to show the incumbent government the door.Meanwhile, the sources said that the PPP and the PML-N were considering to challenge the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) legislation process in the court. The sources said that both parties' leaders discussed this issue in a dinner hosted by the PPP Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto, in honour of the PML-N leaders at the Zardari House on Thursday night.

The dinner was attended by the PPP leaders including Senator Sherry Rehman, Syed Naveed Qamar, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Mustafa Khokar, and others. Leaders of the PML-N including Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khawaja Saad Rafique, and Ayaz Sadiq, and others represented their party in the dinner.
