KARACHI: Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys' Association (AMUOBA) organized a condolence meeting at Sir Syed Tower to pay tribute to the Aligarians who passed away recently included Shaikh Muhammad Yousuf, Asghar Qadri, Salman Sualeh, Gulzar Ahmed Khan, Dr Mahmood Pathan, Abid Hussain Zuberi, Durdana Jalil, wife of Absarullah, grandparents of Wasif Nazar Siddiqui and others.

The meeting was attended by Prof Dr Vali Uddin, Vice Chancellor SSUET, Syed Sarfraz Ali, Registrar SSUET, Farrukh Nizami, Hakeem Abdul Hannan, Commodore Salim Siddiqui (retd), Mukhtar Naqvi, Tasneem Ahmed and others.

Paying rich tribute to the departed souls, Jawaid Anwar, President AMUOBA and Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), said: "It always hurt to talk about those who were near and dear to you, and they are no more with us.

We have lost many Aligarians this year, which is an irreparable loss for us. No one can fill the void. However, they will be alive in our hearts with their sweet memories."

General Secretary AMUOBA, Muhammad Arshad Khan said in his concluding remarks that the great achievements can only be secured by the collective efforts. Unity is the strength and single person can do nothing.
