ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, H E Yao Jing called on the former president Asif Ali Zardari at Zardari House here Thursday. Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Senator Sherry Rehman and Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla were also present during the meeting.

The Chinese Ambassador enquired after the health of the former president and invited him to China for his treatment. During the meeting, the ambassador declared Zardari as the founder of the CPEC saying that the relations between PPP and China ago back a long way. He said that China fully supports Pakistani stance on Kashmir.

President Zardari said that China is a trusted friend of Pakistan and Pakistani people take pride in this friendship. He said that both China and Pakistan suffered great human and financial losses due to Covid-19. Both the leaders discussed international and regional issues, as well as matters of mutual interest.
