Russian central bank says base scenario does not envisage additional sanctions against Moscow

MOSCOW: The Russian central bank's base risk scenario does not envisage any additional sanctions against Moscow, Deputy Governor Alexei Zabotkin said on Thursday, but other scenarios do take such geopolitical risks into account.
Turmoil in neighbouring Belarus and the fallout from the suspected poisoning of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny have put pressure on Russian assets in recent weeks.
Zabotkin added that Russia's economy may return to growth in quarter-on-quarter terms in the third quarter of this year.
