Pakistan reports 1013 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Pakistan reported 1013 coronavirus cases during the past 24 hours taking the country's tally to 266,096.

17,783 tests were conducted across Pakistan on Monday. So far, Sindh has reported 113,553 infections, Punjab 90,444, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 32,243 and Balochistan 11,441. Likewise, 14,625 infections have been reported in Islamabad, 1,868 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1,922 in Azad Kashmir.

During the last 24 hours, the country reported 40 deaths. Pakistan has lost 5,639 people to the novel coronavirus. 208,030 patients have also recovered from the disease so far.

Meanwhile, coronavirus cases across the world have crossed over 14.2 million, while the pandemic has claimed more than 600,000 lives so far.
