KARACHI: On Monday, Pakistan Rupee lost value to USD in both interbank and open markets. It also lost value in open market to Euro as compared to closing rates last Friday.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee lost 30 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over last Friday's rates closing at 166.40 and 166.60 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR lost 20 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over last Friday's rates closing at 166.70 and 167.20 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR lost 1.50 rupees for both and selling over last Friday's rates closing at 186 and 188 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for buying while gaining 5 paisas for selling closing at 44.85 and 45.05 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR remained unchanged for buying while gaining 10 paisas for selling closing at 43.8 and 44 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee stayed unchanged on the buying side while it depreciated its worth on the selling side in relation to the greenback in the open currency market on Monday.
According to currency dealers, the greenback did not observe any change in its demand as it ended at its opening trend for buying at Rs 166.60 whereas it gained 30 paisas for selling and closed at Rs 168.00 against the previous closing rate of Rs 167.70.
Furthermore, the local currency declined its worth in the process of trading against the pound sterling. The pound's buying and selling rates rose from the Friday's closing of Rs 205.00 and Rs 206.50 to Rs 205.50 and Rs 207.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar gained 20 paisas against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Monday.
The dollar opened at Rs 167.70(buying) and Rs 167.80(selling) against last rate of Rs 167.50 (buying) and Rs 167.60 (selling).
It closed at Rs 167.70 (buying) and Rs 167.80 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold were Rs 110,200 (selling) and Rs 110,100(selling) in the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
