PM directs comprehensive plan for PTV's reformation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Friday directed for working out a comprehensive plan to introduce much needed administrative reforms for restructuring of the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV).

Chairing a briefing on the affairs of the PTV at Prime Minister’s Office, he said the plan must also focus at bringing about the qualitative change in the content to bring back the viewer-ship and rationalize the administrative as well as operative costs of various channels of the PTV.

The information secretary gave a detailed presentation to the prime minister on the performance and financial outlook of various channels operating under the state media broadcaster.

Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb, information secretary and senior officers attended the meeting.
