Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Hussain has been summoned by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Imran Farooq murder case, via a UK's popular daily.

Imran Farooq was assassinated in London in September 2010.

The advert is published on behalf of Shahrukh Arjumand, judge of Special Anti-Terrorism Court No-1 and declares Hussain an absconder. The advert also gives Hussain 30 days time to appear before the court.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in 2015, had lodged a case against the MQM founder and other senior party leaders for their alleged involvement in Farooq's murder. Syed Mohsin Ali, Moazzam Ali and Khalid Shamim were also arrested the same year.

Farooq, 50, was killed in a knife attack on his way from work in. A post-mortem examination had shown that he had died from blunt trauma to the head and multiple stab wounds.
