KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, claimed to have arrested 8 accused while crackdowns in various parts of the metropolis on Thursday.
Out of eight accused two belonged to the Lyari Gnag War, said a statement issued here.
The Rangers carried out a crackdown in Shareefabad area and arrested accused namely Juma Mir alias Zaheer Gilgati.
The accused was involved in target killing, dacoity and other crimes.
The Rangers also nabbed two accused belonged to the Lyari Gang War from Ithehad Town namely Adil Sha Gilani and Habib.
The accused were involved in street crimes, drug selling and dacoity.
In another crackdown it arrested two accused from Awami Colony namely Salman Shafai aka Salman Jarekhana. The accused were involved in land-grabbing.
Three accused Sheeraz, Muhammad Irshad and Ghulam Murtazawere were also arrested from Quaidabad and Awami Colony during snap checking. The accused were involved in street crimes.
Arms, ammunitions and stolen property were also recovered from their possession.
The Rangers have handed over the alleged accused to the police for further investigation.
