Karachi Port's activities

The Karachi Port handled 74,011 tonnes of cargo comprising1 51,157 tonnes of import cargo and 22,854 tonnes of export cargo including 4,373 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 51,157 tonnes comprised of 27,527 tonnes of containerised cargo; 10 tonnes of general cargo; 8,125 tonnes of bulk cargo and 15,495 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 22,854 tonnes comprised of 17,550 tonnes of containerised cargo; 241 tonnes of general cargo; 4,463 tonnes of bulk cargo and 600 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Five ships with one container ship, one general cargo ship, one fertiliser carrier, one meal carrier and one oil tanker respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. Five vessels with two container ships and three oil tankers are currently at the berths.
