A Civil Defence Seminar was held here at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium under the joint arrangements of District Civil Department and Federal Civil Defence Training School to mark the World Civil Defence Day.
Addressing the seminar EDO Finance Liaqat Ali Chatha highlighted the significance and importance of civil defence training and said that every person of the society should get training of civil defence for playing role in rescue measures in case of any eventuality or natural calamity to save the humanity.
He appreciated the selfless services of the volunteers and said that they had ever participated in rescue operation whenever they needed without caring their own lives. He informed that the District Civil Defence department had been equipped with modern technology however there was room for improvement. He stressed upon the volunteers to associate with the anti-dengue campaign launched by the city district government and to identify the source of dengue Larva for its elimination so that challenge of dengue virus could be met successfully.
