The annual prize distribution function of Defence Authority Model High School Phase-VII was held at the school's auditorium in which the students presented an elegant variety programme. Tahir A Khan, Chairman Interflow Group, was the chief guest of the function.
Tahir said that the strength of a nation is dependent on the educational and technical prowess of its people. He emphasised that the best way to make the nation strong was to invest in promotion of education. He said that an educated, enlightened and progressive nation could turn the tides and bring success and glory to the nation.
He reiterated that the youth of today had tremendous potential and that proper opportunities and facilities should be provided to them for optimum development of their potential. He appreciated the impressive performance of students in academics and other co-curricular activities and advised them to keep striving hard for achieving excellence in life.
The Principal, Sohail Ahmed Niazi, in his welcome address highlighted the achievements of the students in various academic and extra curricular activities. He said that the educational programmes at the school focused not only on achieving academic excellence but also aimed at producing confident, dynamic and forward-looking individuals.
The students enacted an Urdu play based on the theme of empowerment of women and highlighted the significance of education for women folk for the prosperity and progress of family and society as a whole. National songs presented by students group were very impressive and depicted the vigour, enthusiasm and determination of the youth of the nation. At the end Tahir A. Khan distributed shields and certificates among the students, faculty members and staff of the school who excelled in various fields of activities.-PR
