Millions of devotees across Pakistan are set to mark the annual religious event of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) today (Sunday) with holding processions and festivities. In Karachi, nearly all big and small roads and streets in all five districts had been decorated.
Devotees beautify and illumine mosques, houses and streets with green flags, lights and other ornamental arrangements to show their belief and love towards the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Special activities like recitation of holy Quran, Mehfal-e-Naat and Qawalis are held every year in the metropolis to pay reverence to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Thousands of devotees will march through M A Jinnah from different parts of the city to Nishtar Park, Numaish roundabout today, where scholars perform their speeches to glorify the last Messenger of Allah.
