Seed prices fluctuate modestly on grain market

Seed items showed modest changes on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday in process of trading, dealers said. On the seed side rapeseed Nawabshah dropped Rs 50 to Rs 2450-2475, Mirpurlane lost Rs 150 to Rs 2400-2425 and rapeseed cake low type gained Rs 60 to Rs 870 and best quality, however, was down Rs 35 to Rs 785 and cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 650, best type shed the same amount to Rs 700, they said.
Cereal, rice and grams sectors were unchanged due to balanced demand and supply position, they said.
