Most of the commodity items moved down on the wholesale grain market on Saturday in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereal side gur lost Rs 200 to Rs 4000-5000 due to steady arrivals from upcountry centres, other items were unmoved due to balanced demand and supply position, they said.
On the grams side, gram Australia No 1 low type was unchanged at 4800 while the best type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 5000, grams Australia dal No 1 was, however, up by Rs 100 to Rs 5600-5800 and Grams 50x50 low type was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 5500, the good quality was down by Rs 50 to Rs 5700, they said. On the seed counter cottonseed oilcake with bag low type was unchanged at Rs 600 while the best type fell by Rs 50 to Rs 750, they said. On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh shed Rs 30 to Rs 2970-3070, other items retained the overnight levels, they said.
