Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister lays foundation stone of two government high schools

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, on Saturday said that the government was keenly focusing on promotion of education, especially girls, saying the steps are being taken for brining improvement in present literacy rate in the province.
He said that government had launched different pro-education schemes, including Sutori DA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that scholarships of Rs 10,000 per month will be provided to those students who were attained top positions in grade-IX and X examination under the programme.
While laying foundation stone of two Government High School for Girls, in district Mardan, which upgraded from high to higher secondary level by the provincial government, he informed that the public-sector education institutions shown a outstanding results in last academic session.
Chief minister said that government had launched a scheme Rokhana Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for students, who were studying in private schools. Under the programme, he informed that there will be selected two education institutions in two union councils where public-sector schools were not established, will provide free education to private schools students through government expense. On the occasion, Commissioner Mardan, Mohammad Adil Khan, DIG Alam Shinwari, DCO, AIS and W Ashraf Khan, and other officials were present on the occasion.
He said the government had taken revolutionary steps for promotion of education, and established different universities and colleges in the province. He further added that the establishment of Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan, Bacha Khan Medical College, and upgradation of different colleges and schools was biggest steps for promotion of education.
Hoti stressed upon the students to focus full attention toward their study, saying the nation have much expectation from them He added that the government would extend every possible steps to fulfil their all basic education needs at the respective education institutions. On the occasion, he announced Rs 10 million for construction of Gymnasium in the school for indoor games. Earlier, Chief Minster inaugurated two different schemes and lay the foundation stone for reconstitution of a road. The AIS&W, Ashraf Khan briefed on the occasion, about the various ongoing projects in district Mardan.
