After the completion of the term of current Presidency of Bangladesh, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) will take over the Presidency of Saarc Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Saarc CCI).
Vikramjit Singh Sahney, corporate President of Sun International, New Delhi and member of National Executive Committee of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) shall take over from Annisul Huq and assume the office of the President of Saarc CCI for the term 2012-2013.
A delegation from FPCCI (Pakistan chapter of Saarc CCI) comprising over 100 businessmen/women and young entrepreneurs led by Iftikhar Ali Malik, Vice President Saarc CCI and Tariq Sayeed. Immediate Past President Saarc CCI will leave for New Delhi on Saturday January 21, to participate in the activities. Secretary General Saarc CCI Iqbal Tabish is also accompanying the delegation, which includes some leading business persons accompanying the delegation include.
The succession ceremony of Saarc CCI presidency has been coined with the Saarc Business Summit; Building Bridges in South Asia through Economic Co-operation, which will take place on January 23, in New Delhi, India organised by Saarc CCI and FICCI. Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Textiles will witness the ceremony and inaugurate the business Summit.
The inaugural session of the seminar shall be followed by session on Human Resource Development in South Asia and a cultural show. Prior to Handover, take-over ceremony, the 53rd Executive Committee and 17th General Assembly Meeting of the outgoing management Meeting of Saarc CCI will be chaired by Annisul Huq while the 54th EC meeting will be chaired by newly elected President, Vikramjit Singh Sahney.
