Government always respected Supreme Court, implemented decisions: Malik

Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday said that the government had always respected the apex court and implemented its decisions. Talking to media at Parliament House, he said that the opposition was using various tactics to deprive Pakistan People's Party (PPP) of it certain majority in the upcoming Senate elections.
He said that the parliament would complete its tenure and elections would be held on time. The minister said that nation had appreciated the prime minister's decision to personally appear before the apex court that would help remove misunderstanding. Malik said that on the one hand, PML-N was saying it would defend democratic system, while on the other it had taken, what he said, the fake memo issue to the apex court. He said that US businessman Mansoor Ijaz had toppled Benazir Bhutto government and present memo issue was continuation of that conspiracy.
