Fire breaks out at cotton warehouse

A fire broke out at cotton warehouse located in Korangi Industrial Area on late Tuesday. According to official in Fire Brigade department, the fire gutted the cotton warehouse located in sector V-A and burnt huge quantity of cotton stock into ashes. Some ten fire tenders were initially rushed to extinguish the fire. The official was of the view that the fire may be due to short-circuit.
However, the precise reason would be determined after the fire is put out, he added. Although more fire tenders and a snorkel were sent to spot, the fire was not brought in control till filing of this report.
