The Chairman Senate Farooq H. Naek during the Senate Session said that people-to-people contacts particularly exchange of Parliamentary delegations from both neighbouring countries Pakistan and India would herald a new dawn of promising improvement in our bilateral relations and go a long way towards strengthening our ties and bringing two countries closer for the common good of our people.
He was expressing the views while welcoming the Indian Parliamentary delegation who is visiting Pakistan to attend third Pakistan-India Parliamentarians Dialogue and also visited Parliament House here on Tuesday. He said, "I am a firm believer in the centrality of dialogue and healthy exchange of ideas as a key to resolving all issues, no matter how complex or vexing." Naek reiterated that Pakistan is desirous of peaceful relations with all its neighbours including India and has been making consistent efforts in this regard, which is being assiduously pursued by the present democratic government.-PR
